Download Not Working
If you're having trouble downloading a transfer, try the steps below.
Check that the link hasn't expired
Upvault transfer links expire 24 hours after they were created. If the link has expired, ask the sender to re-upload and share a new link.
Make sure the full link was shared
Upvault's decryption key is embedded in the link as a URL parameter (key=...). If the link was truncated — for example, cut off by a messaging app or email client — the file cannot be decrypted and the download will fail.
Ask the sender to share the complete, unmodified link again.
Try a different browser
Downloads work best in Safari, Chrome, or Firefox on any device. Some in-app browsers (e.g. inside Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter/X) may block downloads. Look for an option to Open in Browser or copy the link and paste it directly into Safari or Chrome.
Check your internet connection
Make sure you have a stable internet connection, especially for large files. If you're on mobile data, try switching to Wi-Fi.
